F-250 Performance and Engines
The F-250 comes standard with a 6.2L V8 that produces 385 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque and is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission. A gasoline-powered 7.3L V8 is also available, which makes 430 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque, shuttled through a smooth 10-speed automatic transmission. The 475 horsepower, 1,050 lb-ft of torque diesel option is a 6.7L turbocharged V8 that's paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission.
Properly equipped, the F-250 boasts a towing capacity between 12,300 pounds and 15,000 pounds. The payload capacity is between 2,462 pounds and 4,323 pounds. Several towing features are available, including an integrated trailer-brake controller, which allows you to adjust the trailer brakes from inside the cab. If you opt for the Trailer Tow High Capacity package, you'll get increased towing capacity, trailer backup assist for easy hookups, a 360-degree, top-down camera, and an upgraded axle.
F-250 Interior Space and Comfort
The F-250 is available with a regular cab, the SuperCab extended cab, and the SuperCrew crew cab. All configurations can be paired to a 6.8-foot or 8.2-foot bed. While all three cabs offer plenty of passenger space, the SuperCrew is the best option if you're on the road with the whole team. The base model is outfitted with vinyl floor coverings and vinyl upholstery, but you can add cloth or leather upholstery.
Several interior features enhance the comfort, such as dual-zone climate control, power-adjustable seating, and two-tone leather upholstery. Heated, ventilated, and massaging seats are available as well. You can add a moonroof for more airiness in the cabin.
F-250 Safety and Technology
The base model of the F-250 comes with a FordPassâ„¢ Connect system that features onboard Wi-Fi and remote services to start, lock, and unlock your truck. The next step up gives you an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlayâ„¢ and Android Autoâ„¢ smartphone integration, a feature that syncs with your phone for on-the-go media and entertainment. Navigation, premium sound, and keyless entry with push-button start are available.
Several safety features are offered, including automatic emergency braking, which warns you if there's a possible crash and applies the brakes. Blind-spot monitors are also available, and they warn you if there's a vehicle in your blind spot when you change lanes and reversing.Â
