The Ford Escape Experience
The Escape comes equipped with a 1.5L EcoBoost® engine paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The power outputs generated by this configuration are 181 horsepower, 190 lb-ft of torque and a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds. Auto Start-Stop Technology comes standard on this engine, which fosters fuel efficiency as well as lower vehicle emissions during city driving when your vehicle comes to a stop.
Curve Control is a neat feature that's especially helpful during the rainy season. When you're approaching a curve on dry or wet pavement, Curve Control can detect if you're going too fast and slow down your Escape  by utilizing throttle reduction and anti-lock braking. A suite of driver-assistive technologies includes Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking, Pedestrian Detection, Forward Collision Warning, and Dynamic Brake Support.
