Power and Versatility
The Kia Telluride offers one engine to get you where you need to go. The standard 3.8L V6 engine generates 291 horsepower and offers an 8-speed automatic transmission. You'll also have the option of standard front-wheel drive or available all-wheel drive.
The Ford Explorer outperforms the Telluride in terms of both power and options. With three engines to choose from, all of which offer at least 300 horsepower, the Explorer lets you select the engine you need.
The standard engine for the Explorer is the 2.3L EcoBoost® I-4 engine with 300 horsepower. The next step up in terms of power is the available 3.0L EcoBoost® V6 engine with a whopping 400 horsepower.
The Explorer also offers a hybrid engine option for drivers who are eco-conscious. The available 3.3L Hybrid engine provides 318 horsepower, still keeping it on par with the two gas engine options.
